Department Commanders and Leadership,
I am excited to share that our Department has been awarded the prestigious National Commander's Award at the JWV Convention. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team.
The award is presented to an echelon that has performed outstanding service beyond the line of duty, and several of our efforts were cited in receiving this honor:
- The reconstitution of the JWV Post in Israel
- The revitalization and merger of Post 58
- The highly successful Dining Out ceremony hosted by Post 360
- Our strong participation and membership drive at Fleet Week, led by Post 167
- The presentation of Kiddush Cups at the Naval Academy to graduating midshipmen
- The Department’s sponsorship of the Jewish Military Shabbos Dinner
- Our participation in the Massing of the Colors ceremony
Each of these milestones reflects the strength of our community and our commitment to supporting veterans, both here and abroad. This award belongs to all of us, and I couldn't be prouder of the collective impact we are making.
